GAS MALAYSIA VIRTUAL PIPELINE SDN. BHD.
Gas Malaysia Virtual Pipeline Sdn. Bhd. (“GMVP”), or formerly known as Gas Malaysia IEV Sdn. Bhd., was incorporated on 21 October 2014. The company which is fully owned by Gas Malaysia Berhad (“Gas Malaysia”) focuses on the distribution and strategic utilisation of Compressed Natural Gas (“CNG”) via land transportation to customers who have no access to Gas Malaysia’s Natural Gas Distribution System (“NGDS”) pipeline. Natural gas is an alternative fuel source to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (“LPG”), Medium Fuel Oil (“MFO”), Light Fuel Oil (“LFO”) and diesel due to its attractive pricing.
VIRTUAL PIPELINE
Distance to NGDS will no longer be a factor when switching to natural gas. Our transportation system (which comprises of prime movers and tube skids) can deliver CNG to industrial premises with considerable cost savings.
SUPPLY CONCEPT
Our supply concept addresses the broad infrastructure for gas distribution. This includes identifying the gas source, converting it into CNG, as well as transporting them via trucks to customers.
SUPPLY AREAS
GMVP transports CNG to industrial customers who are located within a 200 kilometre radius from its Mother Station. At present, GMVP supplies CNG from its Mother Station located in Gebeng, Kuantan.
